Captain Bill’s Waterfront Restaurant Hush Puppies
Hubby has a thing for hush puppies. I have, however, never had an authentic hush puppy experience so when I saw this recipe on the back of an old postcard it seemed like the perfect opportunity to give them a shot. Success! Thanks to Hubby’s deep frying skills and a little malt vinegar (had to be authentic, you know) they were terrific! I hope to come across more lost recipes like this on some of these old postcards. What a yummy surprise!
I wish I could have found more history about the restaurant, but the only thing I could find was that it closed in 2013 or 2014. I never had the opportunity to visit Captain Bill, did you?
